We are looking for a Character Concept Artist to help us create narratively rich and memorable characters. Your contributions will shape the characters our players interact with and relate to. You will report to the Lead Concept Artist and work with our Art Directors to turn their creative vision into a tangible and inspiring visual direction for our artists. At DICE you will join a team of passionate creative professionals who love to learn and push their craft and imagination to new heights.

Responsibilities

• Help the Art Directors explore and visualize the project vision and production goals by creating narratively rich, relatable and compelling character concept art.

• Conduct research, gather reference material, and assist in the development of our briefs to create grounded and believable characters.

• Foster strong collaboration with peers, to support their unique production needs by proactively seeking feedback on your work.

• Create a wide range of cosmetics and assist in the creation of promotional art.

• Actively contribute to a collaborative, service-minded and inclusive learning culture within and outside of the team.

Application Requirement

A portfolio showcasing the following;

• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and the ability to capture and portray the personality of a character visually.

• Ability to produce realistic and grounded characters through proficient and versatile use of 3D, photobashing and painterly techniques.

• Artistic range and comfort creating everything from loose initial sketches to detailed final renders.

• Strong ability to solve a wide range of different problems
