Our Motive is to develop innovative action games set in iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero.

Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™. Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man™ action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield™.

We believe in sharing our passion with our community and each other, fostering an inclusive culture, and nurturing a growth mindset. Although our approach may seem simple, it leads us to create the best work of our careers, bringing unique and immersive experiences to our players.

Motive is looking for a Physics Programmer to join our team.

As a Physics Programmer you will  work closely with designers, tech artists and the rest of the programming team to guide the application of physics and destructions in the game and extend the engines capabilities. Working on an ambitious Iron Man project you will play an important part in bringing the gameplay experience and environments to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert in the engine's physics capabilities, working closely with the animation, design, tech art to optimally use the feature set for gameplay and world building.
  • Inspire technical innovation and improve the physics engines capabilities
  • Work closely with QA and technical leadership to ensure the stability and accuracy of physics systems by identifying, communicating, and resolving defects
  • Lead and participate in design and code reviews
  • Investigate and adopt new game technologies, practices, tools, and systems

Qualifications:

  • B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science or equivalent
