Position Title: Associate Game Designer

We are looking for a Junior Level Designer to join the Skate team to help us create a collection of user generated content. You will report to the World Design Team Lead.

 

Responsibilities:

Work with the Worlds team to help come up with interesting "park" designs

Using our in game tools you will implement these designs

Assess team and player feedback to iterate and refine each parks design

Help set up playtests for the team to play your park iterations

Help showcase what good looks like and help set guidelines with the gameplay team

Help drive feedback on our In Game Tool-Set

Qualifications:

1-2 years experience

Diploma in a Game Design focused post secondary program

Strong spatial design and planning skills (2D Level layouts)

Strong knowledge of User Generated Content do's and dont's

Skateboarding fan a plus!

 

CONTRACT POSITION - 12 MONTHS

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $32 - $49 USD Hourly
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $29 - $49 USD Hourly
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $36 - $49 USD Hourly
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $29 - $40 USD Hourly
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $29 - $44 USD Hourly
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $54,900 - $84,750 CAN Annually

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation for temporary full-time employees at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees. In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
