Position Title: Site Reliability Engineer II

We develop games, content and online services across platforms.We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team that supports renowned Sports video game franchises such as EA Sports FC and Madden NFL. We're looking for candidates that are experienced with on-prem deployments and cloud services. You will need to have senior experience as to help ensure a seamless partner experience. You will help analyse deployment strategies, improving automation efforts and help engineers with their pipelines. You will report to the Engineering Manager based in Bucharest, and work with both onsite and offsite supportive colleagues and partners, as part of a distributed team.
- Responsibilities:
- Partner with Development and QA teams for implementation of new game tools; partners with other operations teams, IT, and external hosting providers to maintain secure and scalable infrastructure
- Perform OS configuration and management
- Develop scripting and productivity enhancing tools for automation of system administration tasks
- Maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures including runbooks
- Support "high-availability" infrastructure for critical path applications
- Troubleshoot and correct issues raised from production
- Troubleshoot application, network, and server-level problems
- Evaluate and adopt technologies which improve the team efficiency and platform capabilities
- Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited education institution in computer engineering, computer science, information systems or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience with relevant Windows and Linux environments
- Very familiar in DevOps methodologies and technologies: Docker and Kubernetes (Rancher) are important
- Familiar with virtualization platforms (vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Familiar with resource management tools (such as Terraform) and practices
- Familiar with configuration management practices (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)
- Familiar with on-prem or on-cloud deployment strategies and practices
- Familiar with Microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Groovy or Python
- Working knowledge of the following technologies (on-prem): ELK stack and MongoDB
- Experience with application deployment by using CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Experience with version management systems (GitLab)
- Experience with alerting systems (Prometheus, Zabbix)
