We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist like you to help us craft the most realistic and destructible game assets in the industry. This role will report to our Art Line Manager, based in our studio in Los Angeles, California. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options, and welcome full-time remote candidates within the US or Canada to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft photo-realistic hard surface & organic models with an emphasis on architecture assets.
  • Develop new textures and materials under the guidance of the 3D Art Lead.
  • Create real-time destruction effects using a mastery of high-quality modeling, texture and shader creation.
  • Photo scan objects and refine and polish meshes for engine integration.
  • Contribute to and help maintain workflow and pipeline documentation pages on Confluence.

Skills Required:

  • Mastery of Autodesk Maya to create high quality 3D assets with clean topology and strong attention to detail.
  • Mastery of texture & shader creation suites like Substance Painter, Photoshop and Mari to create realistic textures and materials.
  • Strong proficiency with UV mapping & texture projection, specifically the UDIM workflow.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Physically Based Rendering (PBR) pipeline and photogrammetry scanning process.
  • Ability to adhere to strict performance budgets by optimizing assets with heavy tri-counts.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with SideFX Houdini, particularly particle & dynamic sim creation and integration into a real-time environment.
  • Experience with procedural modeling and fracturing techniques.
  • Familiarity with vertex animated texture pipelines

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
