Position Title: Senior Animator

External Description:

Ridgeline Games is focused on building rich narrative campaigns with memorable characters and powerful experiences, all in the Battlefield universe. We are building a new studio in the Seattle area composed of leaders and talent with a vast array of AAA game dev experience. Our diverse team, who have a voice in making great games together, are passionate about telling new stories and taking players on incredible adventures.

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Animator with the ability to build exciting gameplay mechanics in the Battlefield universe to push character performance and player experiences.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers to help build Battlefield's narrative through immersive and exciting gameplay . You will report to the Gameplay Animation Lead.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create a variety of animations for AI systems, scripted in-game scenes, vehicles and first-person view model animations.
  • Work with motion capture data that matches the project's realistic style and quality benchmark.
  • Implement your work using the Frostbite game engine.
  • Participate in regular feedback sessions with the animation team.
  • Collaborate and engage with a close-knit team of designers, tech artists, programmers and artists to gather the gameplay and technical needs of your work. Communicate issues and identify solutions.
  • Estimate tasks and meet scheduled commitments.
  • Identify ways to improve process, tools, pipelines and performances.
  • Mentor animators, research the latest animation practices and tech, and share knowledge among the animation team.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years professional experience as a gameplay animator
  • Shipped at least 1 AAA title
  • Experience with video game animation development from asset creation to in-engine implementation
  • High level of proficiency with Maya
  • Experience working with motion capture and participating in mocap shoots
  • Bring a high level of enthusiasm to your work and creative engagement to your relationships

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $113,300 - $171,700

  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $111,500 - $171,700

  • Jersey City, NJ:

º $126,700 - $171,700

  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $111,500 - $144,000

  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $111,500 - $157,300

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
