Role Overview: Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic and financial partnership to EA's Leadership team. We achieve this through engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to guide EA's performance.

You will lead business support for the total EA Mobile business, as well as provide specific support for the RPG, 4X & Shooter studios as a collaborative & trusted advisor to leadership, driving reporting and rhythm of the business. These studios develop games for a strategic player base and need an experienced partner to help guide these businesses forward. You can navigate across a matrixed structure and engage with senior executives. Knowledge of the gaming industry, especially free to play business models, advertising and user acquisition would be beneficial.

You will report to the VP of FP&A, EA Mobile Studios.

Responsibilities:

Studio Business Partnership

  • Provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to RPG, 4X & Shooter Studio teams across the full P&L
  • Lead the financial planning process, including the long-range, annual, and quarterly planning cycles.
  • Provide strategic advice and financial rigor, ensuring the possible effects of business decisions are understood & aligned with profitability goals.
  • Manage the studio P&L and influence product decisions to maximize the health of the business. This includes partnership with multiple partners on live service revenue forecasts, user acquisition plans, and managing development budgets.
  • Create P&L modeling and evaluate opportunities in support of new product incubation.
  • Lead strategic projects and support senior leadership on ad hoc projects
  • Manage three direct reports.

Total Mobile Consolidation Oversight

  • Oversee Mobile Platform consolidation (Revenue, Opex, Capex, and Headcount)
  • Collaborate with Commercial team on long range, annual, quarterly, and bi-weekly revenue forecasts by title
  • Manage risks and opportunities to maintain financial goals.

Experience / Capabilities:

  • 10 or more years in mid-to-senior level finance roles.
  • Experience evaluating performance metrics and implementing action plans
  • Healthy impatience for change. Willingness to ask the tough questions and ensure partner agreement on complex decision points.
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure & anticipates and resolves problems proactively.
  • Resolve complex business issues, ability to move beyond reporting to synthesis and insight
  • Communicate to executive audiences in person, written, and through clear presentations.
  • Preference for experience in game development, mobile entertainment, or digital businesses.
  • Support, manage and coordinate the revenue forecasting process, delving into key metrics to understand and influence how game teams can meet operational and financial targets.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Experience evaluating business performance metrics and translating to applicable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge.
  • Knowledge in Anaplan, Power BI, and Oracle.
  • People management & developing a team.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):  $157,450 - $245,500
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): $154,950 - $223,350

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
