We are looking for an Experience Designer to join our mobile game team.

The Experience Designer will collaborate with team leads to create improved player experiences for Covet Fashion. This includes working on existing features through wireframes, prototypes, and animation, working with existing and new UI assets, icons, and in-game graphics, and implementing UI in Cocos Creator. The Experience Designer will work closely with the Art Leads, Product Managers, and Engineers on features and be a talented in-house art team member.

What you'll be doing:

  • Gathering product, technical, and user requirements to design features, creating delightful experiences for the audience.
  • Rapidly iterating and implementing feedback to help finalize designs.
  • Creating UI mockups with existing assets while working with the Art Lead to evolve the look and feel of the product.
  • Implementing new UI elements in Cocos Creator, working closely with engineers to troubleshoot issues, and seeing designs through to completion in the game.
  • Attending daily scrums, helping generate task lists based on specs, tracking work in Jira tickets, and following up with the Art Lead and Producer on tasks and schedules.
  • Help to shape the UI design system to ensure players enjoy the game while navigating its interface.
  • Provide high-fidelity UI screens and components that align with the product's experience goals, brand, usability and accessibility standards.
  • Communicate progress and project plans with the leadership team and other partners.

You'll be a great fit if you have the following:

  • At least three years of working as a UI/UX Designer for mobile games or similar digital products
  • Excellent graphic design skills, including iconography and creating in-game marketing assets
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe XD or Sketch
  • Love of creative collaboration and ability to take direction well
  • A passion for creating great entertainment products for women

Bonus points if you have:

  • A passion for fashion
  • Experience implementing UI in Unity or Cocos Creator
  • Some motion design and animation skills
  • Experience with Particle Designer
  • Experience with HTML & CSS
  • Experience with Spine: 2D animation for games

We would like to see a portfolio that includes examples of:

  • Graphic Design and Iconography
  • UI design experience

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
   $90,550 - $137,700
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
   $86,150 - $137,700
• Jersey City, NJ :
   $86,150 - $137,700
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
   $86,150 - $126,700
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
   $86,150 - $126,700

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also eligible for bonus and equity.
