Position Title: Senior Technical Artist
External Description:
As a World Leader in AAA game development, EA is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Artist to manage the technical function within the XDI team in Create. The XDI team provides world-class external vendor partnerships for our internal games development teams.
As a Senior Technical Artist, you will provide technical leadership and vision for the XDI team in Create. In partnership with the team's Art Director and Department Head, they will guide infrastructure and process plans to improve our engagements with vendors. As part of Create, you will help to the success of the broader business through contributions to overarching strategic plans under the direction of Creates leadership.
You will provide oversight and direction in the vetting, set-up, and support our internal partner teams and external vendors. You will build relationships with technical functions within and external to EA in accomplishing their role. You will dive and maintain alongside the relevant internal partners, hardware, software, infrastructure, and processes to ensure the smooth operation of the XDI team.
Responsibility:
- Ownership and support of the technical aspects XDI's function i.e. hardware, software, infrastructure, and process
- Oversight of vetting, set-up, and support of our internal partner teams and external vendors.
- Provide technical leadership on the XDI team
- Develop future-looking solutions for XDI technical requirements and challenges
- Build and maintain relationships between internal EA parties and external vendors
- Establish technical best practices streamlining XDI engagements with game team partners and external vendors
- Propose and support strategic initiative efforts for both XDI and Create at large
- Direct others in the execution of technical support for XDI engagements and development efforts
