As the Head of Finance for our Respawn Entertainment & Battlefield organization, you will lead a portfolio of internal studios and external partners, across all financial elements. In addition to Battlefield, Respawn Entertainment is the home of several key franchises including Apex Legends & Star Wars and is supported by upwards of 1,500 employees across multiple studio locations worldwide. You will report to the SVP, Portfolio FP&A, Real Estate and Physical Security.
Role Overview
- Strategic finance leader who will lead interaction and partnership on delivering the Respawn Entertainment & Battlefield strategy and full P&L
- Oversee the future business and financial framework for Respawn Entertainment & Battlefield
- Provide strategic advice and partnership to all studios, teams, and executive leadership
- Lead all Respawn Entertainment & Battlefield financial planning processes, building efficiencies, and streamlining deliverables
- Set goals across all major titles and projects with full P&L ownership
- Oversee all ad-hoc financial analysis to support the business and partners
Major Functions and Related Activities
- Use tailored diagnostics, to monitor the business, de-risk, and balance priorities to achieve financial goals
- Lead financial modeling and decision support for key license investments across the portfolio
- Align cross functional P&L partners on the return of investments
- Set and manage budgets across all projects and investments
- Lead decision support, through accurate analysis and ad-hoc projects to improve performance
- Manage New IP / Greenlight incubation process
Team Management
- Recruit and mentor, a high performing global team
- Influence, motivate and collaborate with partners
- Create a center of excellence and implement best practices, processes, and standards
Qualifications
- 12 or more years' experience in senior finance roles
- A people leader invested in the team's success and building an inclusive environment
- Comfortable operating within a dynamic business environment and can resolve complex business issues
- Builds trust, diverse relationships, and can move beyond reporting to synthesis and insight
- Preference for experience within game development, with in-depth knowledge of Finance
- Experienced in evaluating performance metrics and implementing action plans
- Coordinates processes to work at scale across a distributed team
