Position Title: Sr Game Designer

As a Live Operations Designer reporting to the Design Director, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Champion a Live Service mind set throughout the team, ensuring that features are built with extensibility, growth, and Live Operations in mind.
  • Drive the Design Requirements for Live Ops-focused features, tools, and initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create the Live Event Strategy and Event Content Plans for the product.
  • Translate high-level visions, design concepts, and strategies into a compelling calendar of Live Events that drive the engagement of a diverse player base throughout all stages of their lifecycle.
  • Review the performance of LiveOps initiatives events, using those insights to drive improvements and best practices.
  • Lead with a player-first mentality, prioritizing long-term player health and engagement over short-term wins.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Design or Product role on a Live Product.
  • Experience balancing the needs of a diverse player base and managing engagement throughout all stages of the player lifecycle.
  • A history of driving Event Strategies, designs, and content plans.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current Live Ops trends and a deep familiarity with the fundamentals of Live Service Design.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $108,700 - $166,550
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $107,450 - $166,550
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $107,450 - $166,550
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $107,450 - $153,250
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $107,450 - $153,250

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
