As a FIFA Tools Software Engineer, you are an essential part of the game creation process and are involved in the architectural design and implementation of the Content Tools.

 

Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable full stack web development experience with a strong understanding of C#/.NET and Single Page Application frameworks. The candidate should have experience in both designing and developing RESTful applications, excellent communication skills, and be organized and self-motivated with a desire to get things done without sacrificing quality.

As a central team within the FIFA project, our team is responsible for delivering the tools that are used by Live Content producers to support many dynamic features in our game. As such, the successful candidate would work closely with our internal customers to design, develop, and deliver new features or to upgrade the existing ones. So, whether you prefer working on new functionality, improving existing implementation, or fixing production issues, you will have the chance to contribute to applications that have an impact across the entire FIFA project.

Additional responsibilities include participation in our code review process, planning sessions, and daily SCRUM style stand-up meetings.

 

Required Technical Skills

• C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, REST API
• Single Page Application frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js
• Good understanding of writing efficient SQL queries
• Experience with source control software such as Git or Perforce
• Excellent debugging skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Good understanding of C# and JavaScript/TypeScript languages
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience in designing maintainable, structured, and documented code
• Experience with object-oriented design patterns
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate ideas efficiently with other programmers, producers, and designers.

The following skills would be a plus

• Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with test-driven development and unit testing frameworks such as NUnit, XUnit
• Experience with Cloud technologies
