EA is a world leader in gaming. In addition to the major HD franchises played by millions, EA has a growing portfolio of PC and mobile F2P hits including FIFA Online, FIFA Mobile, Apex Legends, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Plants VS Zombies and C&C Red Alert. The free-to-play gaming market continues to grow exponentially year over year and EA’s portfolio of world-class brands, extensive independent developer network, and ability to create original hits puts the company in a unique position to grow and establish a strong leadership position in the region.

EA’s Partnered Development Group (PDG) is a relatively new team managing IP-licensed dev and outsourced dev with a handful of different mobile development studios, using EA’s IP and proven partner studios to accelerate the development of a portfolio of hit mobile games, and operate them globally to grow EA’s mobile footprint. The nucleus of PDG is based in Asia, but the team is expanding to bring on a leader who can effectively drive the global live operations for our future slate of mobile games.

As the Director of Performance & Live Operations for PDG, you will report to the General Manager and lead a team of product managers to drive Live Operations and economy management across our slate of mobile games.

You will be responsible for streamlining the execution of in-game events, content, and sales, along with forecasting, setting and delivering on weekly and monthly KPI and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and iterative environment that champions both data and creativity in the pursuit of outcomes that deeply engage our players and grow EA’s bottom line.

This role also entails working both remotely and being extremely cross-functional to influence and drive outcomes across a functionally and geographically distributed team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a calendar of live events, offers and new content leveraging a large cross-functional team (engineers, designers, economists, artists, etc.) across multiple mobile games.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of world-class performance PMs.
  • Forecast weekly and monthly KPI targets, in conjunction with game team leadership, and lead and influence the teams to meet or exceed these targets.
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics and user feedback on a real-time basis to evaluate user trends and behaviors, as well as game economy opportunities and concerns, optimizing as necessary to address deficiencies.
  • Leverage quantitative insights via game team analysts, qualitative data (via Community, CS, etc.), competitive analysis, and your own familiarity with the game to provide a best-in-class experience that will keep players coming back for years.
  • Ensure that economy design, tracking, and testing incorporates F2P best practices, and help communicate the game team’s plans and results to key stakeholders.

Required Skills/Personal Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion for F2P, EA franchises (FIFA, NFS, C&C, etc.) and gaming in general • Owned Live Operations for a best-in-class F2P mobile game
  • Expert on F2P mobile economy design and monetization systems
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with large dataset analysis and decision making
  • Ability to opine on market trends in various mobile genres like racing, sports and strategy to inform product decisions
  • Ability to grasp and apply quantitative analysis techniques such as time-series analysis, regression, and strategic analysis to improve product roadmaps
  • Ability to concept, scope and drive process for analytical projects and AB testing to improve product roadmaps and game performance – and communicate analytical results exceptionally to game teams and senior leadership • Experience forecasting and delivering on revenue/KPI targets for a live game
  • Experience managing PMs and leading cross-functional teams
