Corporate accounting’s mission is to create shareholder value through integrity, leadership, and business partnership. Our primary responsibility is to prepare and report the worldwide consolidated financial statements to senior management and to shareholders through press releases and earnings calls. Additional responsibilities include accounting consultation to internal partners, assisting with acquisitions, system improvements and other special projects.

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced Payroll Team. The EA US Payroll team processes payroll for approximately 4500+ employees spread across multiple states. The successful candidate will have a flexible and collaborative outlook and be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for employees located in multiple states. The candidate will also provide support for ongoing payroll related queries and audits. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for US employees using UKG payroll system
  • Perform manual calculations for payroll exceptions - New Hires, Terminations, status, and rate changes, etc.
  • Perform various audits of source documents against system uploads and manual entries
  • Apply proper taxation for various visa types - F1, J1, H1, etc.
  • Interpret and process government and court issued support orders and wage garnishments
  • Ability to create, maintain, and keep organized Payroll Employee records
  • Prepare and import data files from outside sources for payroll processing
  • Create Ad Hoc reports for external reporting to Business Partners
  • Assist with special projects as required

 Skills and Knowledge 

  • Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers, business partners and employees at all levels
  • Good understanding of corporate setup and payroll processing under multiple FEINs
  • Analytical skillset that allows for critical thinking for problem solving
  • UKG BI Reporting experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment under constant processing deadlines
  • Maintain data integrity with discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Contribute to overall department efficiencies by identifying and developing solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as to work well in a team environment
  • Focus on customer service to deliver a superior customer experience
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities and deadlines, strong organizational framework
  • Initiative-taking, initiative-taking and problem-solving attitude
  • High diligence, elevated level of accuracy and results oriented
  • Ability to adapt quickly and be effective in new situations
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and Regulations and Fair Labor Standards Act

 

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience
  • Understanding of payroll earnings and deductions taxation, pretax and post-tax, and tax-exempt required
  • Experience with UKG Pro Payroll preferred
  • Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
