The Release Operations Engineer will help ensure the operational stability of FIFA Mobile across our global regions. We are looking for engineers who enjoy collaborating with designers on process improvement, improving content and server deploy pipelines, and maintaining amazing new features and technology for an existing and beloved game. You will report to the Development Director and work with your Technical Lead to estimate, build, and deploy projects. You will be focused on delivering operational excellence through efficient and effective code.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for improving and automating the content tools pipeline our production team uses daily to run a game with global reach.
  • Participate in planning, designing, implementing, and optimizing operational support systems and platforms.
  • Monitor the status of production servers, investigating live issues and implementing fixes that directly impact our players.
  • Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.
  • Work closely with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • Experience in software development with a focus on Java.
  • Familiar with C++ and other programming languages.
  • Have a strong ability to work collaboratively under pressure, communicate, promote, serve and solve problems.
  • Familiar with data analysis, data modeling experience, skilled use of data analysis methods and tools, and game analysis experience are preferred.

 

Nice to Have:

  • More than five years of game development/operation experience.
  • Experience with live game maintenance
  • Experience with log analysis and tools such as Splunk.
  • Experience with Linux.
