We're looking for an accomplished Senior Technical Animator who will embrace our philosophy and share your hard-earned expertise to provide support to our Jedi: Survivor team’s animation and art teams. As a Senior Technical Animator, you will play an integral part in empowering other developers by working closely with the Animation and Art Departments. What you'll do...

  • Reporting to the Lead Technical Animator, you will be responsible for rigging and skinning of characters and props, building new tools, and maintaining pipelines and processes.
  • Research and development. Troubleshoot technical issues in Maya and game engine, keeping details records/documentation of tool creation.
  • MEL/Python scripting in Maya.
  • Improve the quality bar, develop solutions, and work with the Animation and Art Departments to streamline our processes.
  • Game tools UI and workflow integration with code. Serve as the point person on how artists work and gate keeper of tools. Workflow vision holder.
  • Get features running/testing before main production.
  • Be a performance gate by finding cheaper solutions such as more efficient shaders, faster workflows, LOD tech, draw call managing.
  • Work on research and development. Find new software and suss out both their positive features and weaknesses.
  • Provide software support to the art team (DCCs such as Maya and Photoshop, tools, plugins, scripts and stability.)

Ideally, you'll have...

  • 5+ years' game industry experience working on the technical side of Animation and Art in games.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python scripting
  • Experience in Maya scripting (MEL/Python.)
  • Extensive rigging experience using Maya.
  • A keen eye for proper skin deformation.
  • Experience working with both key frame animation and motion capture data.
  • Experience on one or more shipped title(s)
