Position Title: Sr. Manager, Product Management

External Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager, Product Management to join our Data & Technology Solutions team. This exciting and challenging role will be the connective tissue between the data needs of our Studios and Analytics organizations, and a portfolio of data products that provide the information our Studios and Analytics organizations need.

Reporting to the Head of Analytics Solutions, you will help chart the course of multiple new products and services as they emerge, you will lead a team of product managers and business analysts as well as work with a team of accomplished developers and data professionals to determine product functionality, align on product positioning, drive the product launch to bring the data products to life using your established skills in execution and delivery. You will foster relationships with team members and partners across the organization including the central Platform and Infrastructure teams. Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor and grow a global product management team
  • Meet with users to understand requirements, create the product vision, and bring the products to life from concept to delivery.
  • Together with Product Owners determine the product strategy and manage the product roadmap.
  • Effectively connect the dots between technology, business, and customer experience.
  • Partner with the project managers to guide execution with the development team, making tradeoffs and anticipating risks.
  • Communicate with the users and the development team often to ensure clarity and agreement.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with strategic partners and clients.
  • Follow technical trends in the industry and maintain your product expertise.
  • Assess the latest products for their potential value and make recommendations for new technologies or product improvements.
  • Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product.
  • Help create and maintain proper product / solution documentation.

Knowledge and Skill

  • Lead, coach and mentor product managers on the team
  • Recruit and retain great people to the team and company 
  • Experience interviewing users and eliciting requirements to inform product vision
  • Analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems
  • Client management skills: with an emphasis on being attentive, responsive, and accurate
  • Identify challenges and opportunities and resourcefully pursue them
  • Technical skills in Big Data and Business Intelligence with a track record delivering value to the business
  • Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
  • Determine success criteria for testing and product acceptance
  • Measure product performance and gather important insights to inform future enhancements
  • Provide status updates to management, partners, and users
  • SQL skills and experience with different database platforms
  • Software engineering experience a plus

About You

  • 8+ years of experience working in a client-facing product development role
  • The Senior Manager, Product Management must be a great team leader and a great team player, with highly developed product management skills 
  • Experience managing projects from concept to delivery
  • Experience working with engineering teams and third-party technology partners
  • Ability to find creative solutions and pursue them
  • Have a natural curiosity with a love of learning
  • Have a passion for new technology
  • Established partner management skills to foster trusted relationships
  • Productive in a matrixed and decentralized organization
