Position Title: Manager, Analytics

External Description:

We are looking for a Manager for our Lifecycle Marketing Analytics team to join us in Bucharest. You will help improve our players' experiences by leading a team that derives data-driven insights helping our partners to make informed decisions and shape players' journey inside our EA ecosystem. You will be most successful when you can guide a team of experts who merge statistical skills with game knowledge to create incredible player experiences. We do a lot of experimentation and analyses that allow us to understand how we can best use our current infrastructure and serve our players the right content at the right time, by email or directly in-game, so that in the end they enjoy their time spent within our ecosystem and they stick around longer. You will report to the Game Portfolio Analytics manager based in Bucharest, and you will have a team of supportive colleagues that would be happy to collaborate with you.   • You will build a team culture that breaks down barriers, builds bridges and challenges convention with a theme of collaboration.
  • You will coach the analytics team to be stronger and more versatile, to allow efficient and healthy production. Grow your team's technical and soft skills.
  • You will motivate your team though inspirational leadership, engage them to create an enjoyable and energizing work experience.
  • You will plan and prioritize your team's direction and strategy.
  • You will partner with the Lifecycle Marketing team and manage the backlog and prioritization to ensure that analytics deliverables are scoped and delivered as expected.
  • You will educate our partners on how to build sustainable testing and experimentation processes, that's embodying the test and learn philosophy and on how to use insights in their future decisions.
  • You will foster a data-driven culture within our partnership to ensure that data is at the heart of decisions that influence our players' experiences with our ecosystem
  • You will manage relationships with partners across many organizations, monitor performance of the experiments we build in game or over email, communicate risks, identify new opportunities and industry trends.
  • You will lead staffing and recruitment to grow the team.
  • You will conduct performance reviews, compensation, and benefits processes.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience (3yrs+) managing teams.
  • A mentor who can empower the team.
  • The ability to partner with multiple teams and act as a catalyst for a path towards results. Someone who sees challenges as opportunities.
  • Tell stories with data using data visualization tools (e.g. like Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) or other mediums.
  • Master's Degree in a numerate science (e.g. Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics), marketing or social sciences.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases (Analytics tools like SQL ) and big data solutions (i.e. Hadoop/Hive).
  • 3+ years of experience with a statistical toolkit (i.e. Python/Pandas, R, Spark).
