Position Title: Senior Applications Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • You will implement, maintain, and extend EA's Source Control Management (SCM) platforms
  • You will monitor and troubleshoot incidents
  • You will consult users for successful adoption of the platform
  • What you will make
  • Design and implement production systems supporting SCM and Binary Asset Management
  • Set up CI / CD automation (eg. runner systems, pipelines)
  • How your success will be measured
  • Maintain service availability and success goals for the supported platforms

Qualifications:Technical skills:

  • AWS or Azure
  • GitHub or GitLab or Perforce
  • Basic networking - IP routing/firewall / load balancing
  • Monitor and log management
  • Automation - Python / Bash / Powershell / Terraform
  • Container and container orchestration

Soft skills:

  • Work with all types of users and stakeholders: technical senior developers, DevOps engineers, automation and QA analysts, third-party vendors, and management of all levels
  • Experience adapting communication style to the audience - able to convey technical information
  • Solid critical thinking - owning an opinion and being able to support it with convincing argumentation

Other qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science and 3+ years of experience OR 5+ years of relevant experience in technical operations or application engineering role

Nice to have:

  • Certified architect on any major cloud platform
