OVERVIEW:

EA’s global media team crafts attention-grabbing experiences that take our stories into the lives of all players globally. We balance the art of broad media with the science of performance-based media to deliver against short and long-term objectives informed by data and shaped by creativity.


The Head of Media Strategy, Lifestyle is responsible for defining the long-term roadmap for driving growth across The Sims and other lifestyle franchises, while translating business objectives into actionable strategies for media. This position will report into the Director of Media Strategy as a part of a newly formed Global Media Strategy team structured by franchise.


The Head of Media Strategy, Lifestyle will be a key strategic partner to our Franchise teams helping develop strategic frameworks rooted in a thorough understanding of our audience and the media landscape. Acting as the strategic senior thought leader, this role will be a key part of our cross functional team applying high level strategic insights and analysis to drive media planning decisions for Electronic Arts. The Head of Media Strategy, Lifestyle will champion for paid media while striving to find innovative solutions to elevate EA’s position in the marketplace.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global Media Strategies and Budget Recommendations: Develop the global media strategic approach that supports the long-term brand strategy for their franchise while providing a roadmap for media to drive growth, through a view of the investment strategy as needed across fiscals to achieve the brand objectives.

Defining our target media audiences: Identify compelling audience insights to serve as the foundation for global media strategic approach for their franchises, enabling marketing and the media portion of the broader campaigns to be connected more effectively with our players around the world.

Defining and creating the strategic media framework for success: Partners closely with both Brand and Analytics team to create long term measurement framework for their franchises utilizing a blend of short- and long-term measures across the funnel to ensure the media campaigns are equally effective and efficient.

Industry, Media, and Marketing Expertise: Provide clear communication to the wider EA business on key media, competitive, and cultural trends, relevant to their franchises, partnering with creative, strategy and brand teams on best practices for paid media and the implications of those beyond the paid channels we operate in.

Evangelize for Paid Media internally at EA: Senior advocate for paid media as a key growth driver for the portfolio. Arms stakeholders with opportunities and considerations for paid media by franchise to continually drive growth for the business.

Develop Media Artifacts: Manage and develop Global Media Strategy, Future Budget Forecasting Estimates, Audience Profiles and Actionability Reports, Global Competitive Learnings and ensure all media teams are kept up to date.

Manages the Global Media Agency in overseeing the strategic work and resourcing for your set of titles. Support the Global Media Lead/Manager by providing strategic thinking throughout planning and activation phases.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

● Has a deep understanding, across strategy, planning and activation of data-informed media programs across the funnel joining brand and performance activations.

● Has quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to drive change across your own team and partner teams

● Ability to present and communicate across a matrix organization

● Ability to influence senior leaders across the organization, including marketing, commercial & studio leaders

● Experience leading full-funnel media planning and strategy

● Flexible & adaptable; ability to change course to meet business needs

● Financial acumen - experience as an accountable leader with budget ownership and proven

ability to deliver efficiencies wherever possible.

● Interest and understanding of short and long term measurement, the strategic use of first-party data, the next generation of attribution.

• Media Expert: Has a solid and proven knowledge of all media (both digital and traditional) with an understanding of how brands grow and the creative ways used to bring brands to life in an omni-channel world.

• Collaborator: Can with work multiple stakeholders both internal and external to shape the direction of award-winning media programs and is able to adapt their communication style to explain the rationale behind the strategic media approach to various levels across the organization.
