As Lead Product Manager on Gameplay, you will be accountable for the overall direction of the Apex Mobile gameplay vertical.  Partnering closely with the Lead Game Designer, you will represent the team and the business as you align on the direction of features like: Combat, Legends and Weapons, Maps and Modes, and the Competitive Integrity of our game. You will manage a cross-functional pod to formulate and execute on a long term roadmap shaping Apex Mobile’s gameplay direction.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in operating live, competitive, mobile games. You’ll have experience with  designing features, planning feature roadmaps, leading teams of product managers, and managing a pod of cross-functional resources. A strong attention to detail is required as this role has a direct impact on the player experience which is crucial to the product's success. As a captain of a cross-functional pod, you’ll create an inclusive environment to ensure the team feels heard.    

This role reports to the Head of Product Management and will work closely with our development team and design teams to ensure that our Gameplay systems are best-in-class, excite our players, and achieve our business goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive strategy and vision for gameplay that will maximize lifetime player value and engagement.
  • Provide a long-term roadmap for gameplay features. 
  • Collaborate with other pod captains to create a holistic player experience, season over season 
  • Develop forecasts for the product in collaboration with analytics.
  • Drive KPIs and impact through data-informed decisions.
  • Analyze the performance of gameplay features to inform strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required -  desired focus of studies in Economics, Statistics, Business, Math, or Computer Science
  • Proven and substantial impact on game KPIs
  • Strong analytical ability - formulate hypotheses, methodology, and a clear action plan based on outcomes
  • Deep understanding of competitive gameplay and various segments of players they attract.
  • Powerful communicator
  • Effective prioritization for self and others
  • Experience managing high performing teams 

Bonuses

  • Graduate degree in quantitative or business disciplines
  • Fluency in statistical modeling and modeling tools (E.g. Spreadsheets, Monte Carlo)
