Position Title: Software Engineer I

What the Gameplay Programmer will do at BioWare:

You will work with our animation, design, and programming teams to develop the technology necessary to delight our players with fantastic new gameplay experiences.

Who You Are:

You are a collaborative developer with several years of experience developing systems for AAA console and PC video games. You are capable guide the development of technology features using solutions. You want to help us build the best games in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with artists and designers on gameplay systems and workflows that further our games' vision.
  • Leverage and extend existing engine systems in collaboration with the engine team to support new and improved gameplay features.
  • Support physics systems related to character and world collisions to improve the realism of the games we make.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional C++/C# experience and an understanding of software design principles.
  • Experience debugging and optimising systems for AAA PC and console games.
  • Experience with gameplay, physics, graphics, and engine concepts is an asset.
