We are seeking a Senior Manager of Studio Operations & Culture who will manage multiple studio initiatives across Employee Experience, Workplace Experience, Employee Communications, Operational Planning and many others that reinforce Respawn’s core philosophies.   The position will report into the VP of Studio Operations and have ownership of several key initiatives across the studio leveraging candidate’s expertise and experience to help create and foster incredible employee experiences culturally and operationally for our studio. 

You are a great communicator who can work across multiple internal and external teams, support cross-functional workflow dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, and be a key player in setting and achieving our studio’s short and long-term operational and development goals. 

You are passionate about studio culture and operations, you thrive in a creative environment, and you enjoy working with and supporting teams in delivering the best games possible while nurturing a positive employee experience for all who work here. You will have worked in either a People Experience (HR) and/or Operations role for at least 3-5 years supporting and working with multiple stakeholder teams.  Experience working in a creative studio environment is a plus.

 

Studio Culture 

  • Guide a variety of studio events, annualized projects and operational responsibilities (e.g., continuous improvement, workflows, efficiency) that have a wide impact on the studio’s strategic programs.  Partner with Leadership team, People Experience, Workplace Experience and IT to drive programs related to employee engagement, and future of work, and overall game team support in service of our people, products and services.  
  • In partnership with VP, Operations, assess strategic initiatives in support of the Studio Ops Plan and coordinate the efforts of the Studio Ops team in ensuring the highest value efforts are prioritized and aligned with Respawn Strategy.
  • Partner with Studio Communications Team, Studio Website and Community Channels and Studio Leadership Team to ensure all internal and external facing studio branding, outreach efforts, employment branding, events and engagement activities align with Studio strategy and goals.

Employee Experience

  • Lead a team within Studio Operations that directly manages and supports employee engagement related programs including but not limited to; DEI efforts, attracting and investing in next gen talent, and curating employee engagement opportunities through awards, gifts, and events. 
  • Oversee a best in class onboarding experience for new team members and ensure processes can scale and adapt to new ways of working as teams transition from WFH to a combination of on site, off site and hybrid work models.
  • Provide operational contact and support to partners in University Relations (UR), People Experience (HR), Employer Branding, Leadership/Management Training (LEAP), Talent Acquisition, DEI, and Workplace Experience teams to help implement local studio-related initiatives.
  • Manage the local training budget and develop annual learning & development initiatives using both internal and external resources..

Operations

  • Ensure operations between our multiple development teams, studio locations and central functions have cross-functional alignment and consistency.  Establish new workflows between groups when new areas of cross-collaboration are required.
  • Represent Studio with regards to partnership between Workplace Experience and People Practices to ensure thorough and consistent best practices are adhered to as it relates to communication, resourcing, events and engagement.

Future Growth, Future of Work and Development of Studio

  • Lead Respawn’s Future of Work/Return to Office strategy driving the adoption of the new ways of working in the Flexible Work Model and operationalize return to studio plans.
  • Maintain pulse of studio’s needs in direct partnership with Game Directors, Executive Producer’s, Discipline Leaders and cross functional partners to plan investments and improvements to studio and culture into short/long term strategic planning. 
  • Partner with EA Real Estate and external vendors as studio representative for build out initiatives on new and existing office space.
