We are looking for a talented and passionate FIFA Gameplay Designer to join the Asia Gameplay team, which acts as a Central Team for EA Asia Studios, providing Guidance, Consultation and Feature implementation for games that are live or in development. As a Gameplay Designer, you will create new content, balance existing systems, design exciting new features and prototype innovative game mechanics. You will be working closely with Producers, Engineers and design team during production.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement in-game content such as controls, etc. based on existing game design mechanics
• Script gameplay experiences and moments and focus test them to ensure maximum fun
• Create innovative and engaging mechanics through iterative prototyping
• Design novel gameplay while staying true to original IP’s core brand values and overarching game vision
• Evolve design decisions based on regular play testing and audience feedback
• Communicate game design and design rationale clearly and concisely with the various members of the team
• Receive and provide critiques in a constructive manner with suggestions and solutions for improvement
• Integrate learnings from quantitative data and A/B test results and constantly strive to improve the design
• Remain current on industry trends including: new game genres, new game design methods and emerging platforms

Your Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industry experience working as a game designer
• Strong Passion for Soccer and committed FIFA Player
• Fluent/High Proficiency in English
• Strong Communicator who enjoys being part of a large team, working with others
• Proactive in looking for opportunities
• Able to conceptualize, create and implement game concepts using various tools and technologies
• Creatively, analytically and organizationally skilled with proven ability to write, communicate and maintain detailed design documentation throughout the game life cycle

  • Ability to debug and optimize scripts
  • Can analyze how multiple systems interact with each other (from a technical and user experience point of view) to better balance them based on intended design goals
