Position Title: Associate Quality Designer

This role will entail working with the GUI, Online, and the respective development teams and reporting to the Development Manager, to own and guide the best possible quality within our UI and UX, and to shape the online experience for the player by testing upstream.

We define the best practices in the QV family and work embedded within the development teams to guarantee a polished product is being delivered to EA players around the world.

Role:

  • You will design test strategies for areas within the GUI and online domain, defining what needs to be tested and how. Applying subject matter experience, researching multiple informational sources, and relying on your own experience with best practices.
  • You will build working relationships with senior members of the development, production, and design teams by creating a higher quality player experience through tasks such as feature planning, analysing internal data/player data, and feature/design reviews.
  • You will propose and drive solutions to problems from senior management.
  • You will review and recommend adjustments of own domain plans end-to-end, including their dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You will highlight applicable insights related to your own domain, supported through clear data, dependencies, or risks by partnering with peers or other domain areas.
  • You will understand current process and workflow – promote improvements and knowledge sharing across the QV team.
  • You will report progress and status through regular email, slack or other online call communication with appropriate managers and other partners.
  • You will coach analysts and other individual contributors.

Requirements:

  • Experience working or studying in relevant role – entertainment software; game development, GUI, Online Network.
  • Experience with data driven product design.
  • Working knowledge of Test & Issue Management systems (e.g. JIRA, BugSplat).
  • Experience with modern office suites including Spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Presentation software.
  • Experience working in a similar role within the testing or software industry.
  • A passion for learning.
  • An enthusiasm for games and racing is a bonus.
