As an Audio Artist in Create Audio you will work on the next evolution of the Skate franchise. We are set to bring an experience embracing and building upon everything that makes this franchise so special. Your role will contribute audio to build the range of rich, interactive, vibrant soundscapes our fans expect from the game.

We're looking for a generalist, whose responsibilities will change throughout the project and will have a chance to work on several areas. Right away we're looking for someone to help make an impact with supporting recording, asset management, and implementation of sounds in game.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design and implementation of audio for the next Skate title
  • Follow a schedule and submit final audio files on or before required deadlines
  • Help with field recording sessions
  • Edit and implement audio assets directly in our audio tools and game engine
  • Work with the Audio Director to ensure that audio matches the vision of the game
  • Troubleshoot and help fix audio bugs

Required Skills

  • Minimum of two years audio experience
  • Field recording experience
  • Skilled with audio editing, design, and processing in a major DAW
  • Experience with version control tools (ex. Perforce)
  • Proficient with at least one game audio implementation tool and understanding of game audio implementation best practices
  • Experience with visual scripting tools (ex. Max MSP patches or Unreal Blueprints)
  • Solid knowledge of PC hardware and software
  • Good technical thinker and collaborator
  • Knowledge of skateboarding/action sports is a bonus
