Position Title: Software Engineer II

External Description:

Electronic Arts Romania, one of the largest technology companies and video game developers in Romania, brings together talented people from diverse work backgrounds and industries all united by a common passion: inspiring the world to play.

Ever wondered how dozens of people work collaboratively and simultaneously to develop a complex game? In EA this is facilitated by us, the Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team. Our domain is at the intersection of DevOps, Release Management and Build Engineering. We develop and operate Continuous Integration (CI) farms that automate building and testing to guarantee a high quality of the game codebase. Our systems are providing feedback to developers, builds for further QA testing and the builds that end up on players' devices.

We are a full stack DevOps team looking for a colleague that shares our passion to combine software development with production operations. Reporting to the local Software Engineering Manager, you will focus on developing or enhancing automation projects from our build farms for the EA SPORTS FC™ game, plus modernizing components of our Continuous Integration product, all of these while maintaining a high-quality service for our game team customers.

As we've embarked on a journey to improve elasticity of our builds by transitioning workflows from on-prem to cloud infrastructure, if you're already familiar with cloud technologies you'll be welcomed to share your experience and if not, you'll have the opportunity to learn and experiment along with us.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, monitor, and troubleshoot Continuous Integration automation projects.
  • Improve existing solutions to evolve our Continuous Integration product.
  • Prioritize a variety of tasks, ensuring customers are informed of the status of their requests.
