Position Title: Director, Analytics

External Description:

Director, Strategic Planning & Operations: Infrastructure Cost Management

 

This role is key to aligning and driving the Infrastructure Cost related strategic initiative with a key focus on innovating the Infrastructure Cost Management process and driving infra cost optimization initiatives. You'll be leading a team of analysts and working closely with multiple stakeholders to create a new infrastructure cost management framework and the foundation for scalable, automated forecasting and shared cost allocation systems. 

In addition, you will work closely with the Infrastructure Capacity Management, Strategic Vendor Management, and Infra Optimization Analytic team to drive infrastructure cost alignment, transparency, and optimization. 

The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative problem solver, a planner who gathers feedback, co-creative innovative solutions, and turns such solutions into operational plans to yield measurable results.

 

You are both great team collaborators with a bias for action. And you can context switch from big picture problem solving to tactical solution building.



You will be responsible for the infrastructure cost strategic planning & operations activities:

  • Lead and modernize the Infra Cost strategic planning process. 
  • Drive and create a governance model that links strategic planning outcomes to actionable, trackable infra cost optimization work plans.
  • Define, track and influence KPIs that can move the Infra Cost Optimization's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Lead the conversation with leadership to articulate, prioritize and measure significant cost optimization initiatives and programs aligned to drive ongoing infra optimization
  • Ensure we have a scalable, automated system to support infra cost strategic planning & operations.
  • Drive the process with our leadership team to adjust the infra cost optimization program to gain adoption
  • Partner with leadership to deliver a quarterly infrastructure optimization plan, and a monthly status and measurement update
  • Build and manage planning templates and dashboard that reflect the needs of the business and provide executive visibility
  • Own Rhythm of the Business for the Infrastructure Optimization team 
  • Coach and mentor a group of analysts

Required Skills/Experience

  • 10+ years experience in business operations & strategy
  • Passion for operational and planning excellence as well as attention to detail
  • Successful experience in building new processes and programs operationalized innovative solutions
  •  A learner's mindset we drive for excellence in execution.
  • Experienced re-defined and drove strategic initiatives with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building across different teams.
  • Experience with infra cost management system
  • Creative problem solver that can generate innovative ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
  • Hands-on ability to build a range of training assets, including Infra Cost 101, Chargeback Methodology, QBR planning decks, and ROB calendars.
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience 
  • Masters Degree in Finance or Analytics desirable
