Corporate accounting’s mission is to create shareholder value through integrity, leadership and business partnership.  Our primary responsibility is to prepare and report the worldwide consolidated financial statements to senior management and to shareholders through press releases and earnings calls.  Additional responsibilities include accounting consultation to internal partners, assisting with acquisitions, system improvements and other special projects.

We are looking for Payroll Analyst to join our fast-paced Payroll Team. The EA US Payroll team processes payroll for approximately 4000+ employees spread across multiple states.  The successful candidate will have a flexible and team-oriented outlook and be responsible for providing support and collaborate with business partners to help with year-end activities, tax reconciliations and including but not limited to W2 reconciliations & reporting, processing prior quarter adjustments and SOX. The candidate will also provide general support for ongoing payroll processing and audits. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Handle 401k end to end process including compliance reporting, supporting audits and performing quarterly and year end reconciliations
  • Manage ESPP end to end process by performing audits on a bi-weekly basis and collaborating with Stock team for issue resolution and finalizing data for ESPP purchase
  • Perform various SOX audits for payroll processing to ensure accuracy
  • Verify visa status for new hires and transfers and other data changes imported from Workday and provide reporting to business partners
  • Prepare and file labor reporting for states
  • Primary contact for all tax related matters and registration in new tax jurisdiction. Communicate, monitor, and ensure compliance to applicable federal and state laws and company policies
  • Receive tax invoices and reconcile against payroll processing on an ongoing basis
  • Handle W2 preparation, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Track & manage tax notices and work with government agencies to resolve open items
  • Handle Prior Quarter and Prior Period tax adjustments including W-2 corrections & reporting
  • Create/update excel files and workbooks for import into payroll system
  • Prepare data needed for Worker’s Comp audits and work with auditors
  • Handle reporting and remittance of government payments
  • Reconcile Quarterly tax returns and statement of deposit against payroll transactions
  • Assist with Payroll G/L account reconciliations
  • Respond to various employee, business partner and governmental inquires
  • Liaise on with payroll business partners
  • Lead and assist with other assigned projects.

Selection Criteria 

  • Minimum 5 years payroll experience in handling payroll taxes
  • Experience with UKG Pro is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is preferred
  • Track record of process improvements
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
  • BA in Finance or Accounting is preferred
