We are looking for an experienced Senior Experience Designer (UX) to join our Platform Development team in North America.

Role

As a member of the Pogo Platform team, you will manage UX Design to provide project deliverables and continuous improvements to the Pogo platform across web browsers. In this key role, you will partner closely with Design, UI and Art, and have a high level of interaction with team members, Product Managers, and Engineering. You are the platform UX Design expert for the studio. The UX Designer focuses on building intuitive and engaging user flows, wireframes, interaction design, and interactive prototypes. You are detail oriented and masterfully combine functionality and playfulness in your design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with team members to set priorities and find balanced design solutions to user and business goals within technical constraints.
  • Articulate design strategies and decisions in a clear and compelling manner; using journey maps, user flows, low and high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Maintain UI guidelines including a Styleguide and responsive Design system.
  • Drive a design process and methodologies that supports user centered development.
  • Determine problem spaces and lead design solutions rooted in player data.
  • Know when different UX methods are appropriate, given the design problem and scope.
  • Craft clear written communications; allowing users to intuitively use the product, including tone of voice, naming conventions, taxonomy and text strings.
  • Advocate for users and understand what they are doing and why, and create the ideal designs to accommodate those needs.
  • Conduct usability research.

Qualifications

  • A deep understanding of the end to end iterative UX product design process, including how to develop user stories, wireframes at multiple breakpoints, flow diagrams, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals.
  • Fluent in responsive design, mobile and tablet UX and UI.
  • Proficiency with current design tools including Sketch, Figma, inVision, Zeplin, Proto.io.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal), presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across varying levels of the organization.
  • Independently self-motivated, team player.
  • Familiarity with a variety of user research methods, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Psychology, HCI or demonstrated proficiency and experiences in the field of user experience.
  • 5+ years professional user experience design practice.
  • Advanced level as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role.
  • Expert knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates design-thinking from hypothesis to finished product.

Nice To Have

  • Experience designing for entertainment platforms.
  • Experience conducting interviews for usability research.
  • Familiarity with the casual gaming space, particularly mobile games.
  • Animation design.
