Position Title: Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Work on a game with fast, responsive controls, and fluid gameplay.
• Work closely with designers, artists, and animators to gather requirements and own feature development.
• Build, improve, and maintain gameplay systems.
• Proactively identify issues and fix bugs.

Requirements

• Passion for making and playing games.
• Solid C/C++ skills. 2+ years of experience.
• Excellent math skills with an emphasis on 3D math.
• Experience with large code bases and optimizing code, data, and bandwidth to improve both memory consumption and execution speed.

Nice to Have

• CS or Comp Eng degree preferred.
• Shipped at least one AAA title.
• Prior gameplay experience on a AAA shooter.
• Console programming experience on a AAA game.
• Network programming experience on a AAA game.
• Prior professional experience as an engineer on a game team.

º $45 - $68
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $40 - $68
• Jersey City, NJ:
º $53 - $68
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $40 - $56
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $40 - $68

The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby , medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees."
