Position Title: Experience Designer II

External Description:

Based at our state-of-the-art Southam HQ, near to Leamington Spa, we are looking for a Senior UX Designer to take overall ownership of the innovative user experience design and strategy for Codemasters' RaceNet platform. RaceNet is a fast evolving team charged with accelerating our transition to Games as a Service.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be have experience in the Tech/Games industry. This is a meaningful and varied role that demands an awareness of our players and a passion for delivering a user-driven product.

Responsibilities:

  • Create concept wireframes, user flow diagrams, and clickable prototypes to validate design assumptions and direction
  • You will be fluent in prototype development software (ideally Axure but Figma, Adobe XD are all acceptable)
  • You'll have experience using a variety of different user research methods, from organisation of research through to presenting of results
  • Be able to work with UI designers to improve on concepts and designs to create the best possible experience
  • Work with the entire development team to ensure user experience standards are kept throughout the development cycle
  • Be aware of, and keep up-to-date with current trends across the user experience design field
  • Promote user experience best practices to keep the development teams informed of current relevant thinking in the user experience field
  • Demonstrate an understanding of user experience theory and how to apply it in a real-world setting

Main Skills & Experience:

  • Several years' experience in a similar position
  • Comfortable working with data and running AB tests to make decisions
  • Show an interest in psychology, user behaviour and cognitive science
  • Experience using JIRA but flexible to find the right software/tooling for the situation
  • Understanding of the software development cycle, Agile, MVP, and lean methodologies
  • Prepared to travel on company business at short notice and willingness to work additional hours to meet the demands of the growing team
