Come join the Frostbite team in Australasia, where we work on a wide range of engine systems and tooling, including gameplay, rendering, and game server technologies. We partner closely with our customers to ensure we deliver what they need, when they need it. We promote a culture of strong generalists who are capable of helping each other across disciplines on a diverse range of projects.

This role is for a team that is focused on Game Server technologies, notably performance optimization. You will be a part of a team that has a passion for developing new game server workflows, low-level profiling & optimization, and platform architecture. We hope you will join our team to keep pushing our Game Server technology forward with us.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, write, and maintain high-quality features & code
  • Contribute to a culture of peer review and technical discussion
  • Contribute to technical planning, roadmapping, and estimation
  • Communicate with team members and external teams to ensure alignment & understanding
  • Collaborate across teams and discipline boundaries to advance an industry-leading engine, and respond quickly and flexibly to support requests

What you'll bring: 

  • Strongly proficient in C++
  • Strong understanding of hardware architecture
  • Experience in low-level code profiling & optimization
  • Networking experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field or equivalent experience

Nice to have: 

  • Experience optimising for multiple hardware platforms, particularly ARM
  • Experience developing for Cloud infrastructure
  • A background in high-quality deliverables and sustainable development practices including automated tests
  • Demonstrated ownership for the success of internal customers
