Position Title: Software Engineer II

Infrastructure Engineer - DRE

DRE are EA’s continuous integration and build experts. We are a team of over 100, located in EA studios across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We pride ourselves on providing automation services to our internal customers - EA's game, engine, product, and content teams.

We are looking for someone to join DRE in Shanghai as an Infrastructure Engineer, supporting our engagements in the Asia-Pacific region. You will report to the Development Director.

Key Responsibilities

• You will work with other CI/CD engineers around the world to automate and simplify the build/test automation stack
• You will implement the infrastructure strategy in Asia and build creative, high-impact solutions to infrastructure automation problems
• You will work with game teams to create capacity plans for build infrastructure
• You will create and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code for EA’s build platforms
• You will work with our internal customers to design, prototype and implement new automated workflows to improve development productivity
• Be a technical liaison between DRE in Asia and IT and EA Security teams

Technical Skills

Software Development

• At least 3 years experience with script in one or more languages e.g. Python, Go, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Ruby

Infrastructure Management

• Experience with one or more configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible)
• Experience creating CI/CD workflows with tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab CI/CD
• Experience working with one or more public cloud providers (Tencent, Alibaba, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere and supporting technologies
• Experience automating Windows, Linux and Mac OS X deployment and lifecycle management
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, GKE)
• Experience with Hashicorp products (Vault, Consul, Packer, or Terraform)
• Experience with monitoring, reporting and predictive analysis (Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus)

• Good speaking and written English
• A champion of the work you do, evangelizing it across teams
• Exercises a high degree of creativity in their work. You can take a general idea and build a workable solution with minimal direction
• Experience with communication and collaboration across different regions and time zones
• Experience solving issues with better monitoring and operational data
• Experience with write clear documentation
• Familiar with agile development methodologies
• Experience shipping AAA or Mobile games
