Position Title: Sr Game Designer

Become a foundational part of a respectful and diverse team as we are looking for an Advanced Game Writer to help us build a AAA open world game with an emphasis on procedural narrative. The Advanced Game Writer will collaborate closely with the Directors to create the game's characters, world and narrative so that they come to life as they emerge through interwoven narrative and gameplay systems.

The Advanced Game writer will champion the story to the team throughout the development process. You will use a variety of narrative tools and systems including dialogue, world-building and narrative design to ensure that players engage their imaginations to co-author incredible emergent stories.

You will help players to discover and remember amazing moments of intense emotion between characters that they profoundly love or passionately hate.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a team tasked with creating, developing and polishing the narrative experience across all areas of the game with an emphasis on characters and dialogue.
  • Contribute to all areas of the narrative including documentation, in game content, and dialogue with a focus on creating memorable and emotional moments for the player.
  • Work with the Audio Director on all voice over sessions to ensure the narrative and performance goals are being met.
  • Lead a writer's room with a group of writers, guiding collaborative story improvements and working with the team to punch-up dialog
  • Review and/or edit submissions from other writers.

Qualifications:

  • Shipped at least one successful AAA title from start to finish as a Lead Writer or Narrative Design Lead.
  • Desired: Experience in procedural narrative or interactive fiction.
  • Desired: Experience with high profile and beloved IP.
  • Deep understanding of modern AAA games and their narrative mechanics
