EA Mobile is a fast-growing studio organization that operates dozens of live services and new game projects. With the acquisition of Glu in 2021, EA Mobile has expanded to include a global footprint of industry-leading studios and projects and more than $1B in annual net bookings. You will be a part of the Operations team within EA Mobile that manages the mobile portfolio and provides operational support to hundreds of EA's game creators.

The Sr. Program Manager is a key leadership role that involves a high level of interaction with studio leadership and staff, product leadership, and development partners. This role focuses on program management and execution, using data analysis to help decision making, managing around future challenges and making things work (or work better). Knowledge of the gaming industry, especially free-to-play / freemium software development are a significant advantage.

You will report to the Sr Director of Mobile Operations for EA Mobile.

You will have a chance to learn a great deal about a broad range of topics related to managing mobile game development.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Responsible for the full operational aspects of reporting across development framework, risk management, capacity planning, resource management and budget.
  • Partner with team leadership to support efforts to drive low-cost development and be accountable for results.
  • Develop, maintain and publish dashboards that support EA Mobile products:
    • Resource Management and budgets.
    • Product Development and Risk Management.
    • Product Milestone and Business Review Tracking.
    • Regular and on-demand reporting for leadership team to support decision making.
  • Establish regular communication with the team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates.
  • Drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking with a goal of reducing waste and increasing predictability.
  • Coordinate with supporting partner organizations.
  • Identify, assign, and track development and operational issues to completion.
  • Drive process improvement across studio operations.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 6+ years of operations experience, strong communications skills.
  • Excellent program management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills; able to influence outcomes across all levels of contributors.
  • Sound decision-making based on both data analysis and judgement.
  • Strong negotiation, change management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High degree of initiative, takes opportunities to make improvements.
  • Ownership mentality: responsible, invested in outcomes.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI,

 

Bonuses

  • Game development experience (especially full cycle on shipped titles).
  • Experience in mobile app development or managing online live services.
  • Previous Development Director experience at EA or in similar roles in other companies.
  • Project management certifications, especially a PMP.
  • Master’s degree in a related field, especially an MBA.
