Position Title: Manager, Analytics

External Description:

The Production Infrastructure & Engineering (PI&E) organization provides the essential platforms and infrastructure hosting solutions that power EA's live services. Our charter is to make EA's games and services available to all players anytime and anywhere. To do this, we focus on the high availability of infrastructure, primary services, and studio services. We aim to help developers to experiment and build new games quickly with infrastructure services on-demand and workflows that promote rapid development in the cloud. In all of this, we focus on being there for players where and when they want to play.

Responsibilities:

  • You will preform daily monitoring and daily / monthly reporting on cloud spend.
  • You will partner with Infrastructure, Engineering, and Studio teams to understand the cloud demand forecast and daily resource demand management.
  • Develop infrastructure cost and forecasting models to provide insights on all infrastructure and cloud spend
  • You will review cloud utilization and make recommendations on purchasing strategy, utilization optimization opportunities, product architecture, and reporting to promote best practices.
  • You will produce reports / analyses and lead tagging requirements to ensure data tracking and reporting.
  • You will manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years engineering or finance related experience
  • 3+ years of experience with a public Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and making recommendations related to Reserved Instances, Savings Plan, utilization optimization, Enterprise Discounts, and cloud contract terms
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and cost components/drivers; AWS and GCP desirable
  • Experience creating ROI, TCO, and cost and utilization optimization strategies
  • Experience with BI tools, SQL queries, organizing data, and building reporting dashboards
  • Experience with Fin Ops Cloud Financial Management, Data Center transformations, Unit Costs, and Infrastructure Product / Pricing methodologies
