The Battlefield Online Team is responsible for developing and maintaining several systems across multiple Battlefield games (Progression, Commerce, Matchmaking, Social and many more) as well as the infrastructure and tooling to run and operate them.

Technical Producer in the Battlefield Online Team

As technical producer for one of our teams, you will be responsible for your team’s roadmap, backlog and priorities. You will keep your team, partners and stakeholders informed about what the team is working on, why it is necessary, and current status.

You will navigate the short-term priorities from multiple Battlefield games while not losing focus on the long-term goals for the franchise. This is a Technical and Production-focused role, you oversee the technology we build, having the vision of where we want to take it moving forward. You have a technical background or understanding of tech and can break down technical components and make decisions on ‘what’ and ‘how’. You empower and motivate your team to succeed. You can understand technical challenges and work with the team to find the best creative solutions to solve them.

You will turn high-level project goals into a comprehensive set of requirements by partnering with multiple business owners from multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Set priorities and long-term vision for the team. 
  • Oversee the team roadmap, backlog, and guide the vision and execution. 
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, such as game team, franchise and partners, including regular reporting and roadmap setting. 
  • Understand tech trends, see how they impact your roadmap, and how they inspire creativity.
  • Establish success factors for the platform team and manage KPI reporting.
  • Create the long-term strategy. 
  • Partner with the Development Director for the team to improve prioritization and planning. 
  • Find requirements, issues, and potential development roadblocks and implement solutions. 
  • Coordinate, track, and report on external game-related development from publisher provided resources and vendors. 
  • Develop relationships with other platform/service teams across the organization to share knowledge, processes, and solutions across EA. 
  • Motivate and engage your team in the vision and roadmap you’ve created together. 

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical product owner role, building roadmaps and working with stakeholders. 
  • 5+ years of technical-related project management experience. 
  • Practical knowledge in platform, programming, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team. 
  • Experience working with an agile team and agile methodology.
