Position Title: Intern General

External Description:

The EA Security team protects EA by reducing our exposure to security risks by raising awareness and providing a measured, proportionate set of security and risk management controls, services and solutions.

As a Security Engineer Intern, you will be a member of the Verification & Pentest (VAP) team under the Security Platform Engineering and Anti-Cheat Response (SPEAR) group within the EA Security department. You will help us protect our data and most importantly our customers.

Responsibilities:

Stand up and evaluate scanning tools against specific targets
Test for vulnerabilities on EA products running on PC, web, mobile, and consoles, with guidance
Verify vulnerabilities given reproduction steps and point fixes for specific security vulnerabilities
Correctly rate the security impact of discovered vulnerabilities and provide accurate reproduction steps
Give talks and presentations within VAP
Document well-defined security issues and report them within VAP

Qualifications:

Experience reviewing and writing code in at least one programming language, such as C++, Java, C#, golang, or scripting languages
Understanding of the CWE Top 25 and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
Familiarity in at least one of the following domains: Networking, OS Internals, Cloud Architecture, Web Frameworks, or Mobile Architecture
Familiarity in at least one of the following domains: cryptography, authentication mechanisms, authorization controls, or DevSecOps
