Position Title: Principal Game PM

We are looking for an experienced product manager, producer, or analyst to lead the Pogo product team. This fully remote position can be performed from most locations in North America.

 

Role

 

As a member of the studio’s senior leadership, you will manage the product strategy and execution, leading a product and analytics team to monitor live service performance and plan new platform features. In this key leadership role, you will report directly to the Studio General Manager and have a high level of interaction with team members, partners, and studio leadership. You are the chief product leader and the product management expert for the studio. The Product Director focuses on product strategy, analytics, and financial results.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Provide strong leadership to the team, inspire and motivate through personal example, enthusiasm, and dedication
  • Promote a culture of healthy accountability, maximizing potential, recognizing accomplishments
  • Manage a team of Product Managers and Business Analysts, directly manage three leads
  • Collaborate with other senior studio leaders to support our vision, mission, and objectives; develop plans to achieve those goals
  • Strengthen the product team through hiring and mentoring
  • Assign and track PM, data, and analytical tasks to completion

 

Product Management

  • Manage live services monetization, including advertising & games
  • Build strategies to improve player engagement and acquisition
  • Identify new features & feature improvements to enhance the platform and increase customer value, collaborate with production team on design and prioritization
  • Monitor & evaluate health and performance of live services, features, and games
  • Analyze player behavior & lifecycle (messaging, segmentation, personalization, game events, etc.) to uncover insights and inform product strategy

 

Analytics

  • Build and maintain information gathering and data analysis systems to support decision-making
  • Translate problems into structured analyses or data products that create actionable insights
  • Analyze market trends & competitive landscape to identify opportunities that support business goals
  • Develop frameworks to measure, evaluate, & predict the impact of features, systems, & content
  • Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify and validate meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets

 

Financial Management & Business Development

  • Manage studio revenue, responsible for all earning inputs on the studio P&L
  • Collaborate with finance manager to create and update revenue forecasts
  • Drive live service, subscription, and ad performance to meet quarterly and annual forecasts
  • Identify and manage revenue risk
  • Develop strategies to improve revenue, including external partnerships
  • Manage revenue share and royalty structures with external partners
  • Coordinate with supporting organizations such as Finance, Central Analytics, and Central PM

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product experience in the software industry
  • 4+ years in leadership roles with direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in applying analytics to solve real-world problems
  • Expertise using tools to track, model, analyze, and visualize data (Tableau, Excel)
  • Experience in experimental design and A/B testing
  • Ability to present high-impact plans and recommendations
  • Sound decision-making based on both data analysis and judgment
  • Ability to travel including internationally (10% post-pandemic)

Bonuses
