Position Title: Associate Acquisition Specialist

The EA Create Capture team provides high-quality body motion performances for in-game, cinematic and narrative sequences.

Responsibilities:

• Support the production teams with the acquisition of motion capture data during performance sessions
• Track and clean motion capture data in Vicon Blade / Shogun
• Support the Motion Capture team w/daily production prep and systems set up
• Operate proprietary tools related to the acquisition systems
• Work with animation leads and director to agree on visual targets of motion capture data
• Provide animation feedback and communicate best practice with intention for animation refinement
• Learn proprietary art pipelines, new technology, and processes
• Help with construction of set and prop pieces
• Support performer wardrobe fitting and motion capture marker application
• Support the acquisition team with general studio/stage maintenance
• Help document workflow and pipelines
• Contribute to post mortems, provide feedback, help improve motion capture process and data output
• You will report to the Senior Manager of Acquisition

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of motion capture or animation background in video games, television, film or other related industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Motion Builder or similar 3D animation software experience
• Understanding of human movement, and detailed knowledge of functional human anatomy
• Knowledge of and experience with Motion Capture systems
• Work well under the pressures of 'live' production environments
• On-set production experience in related entertainment industry: Film, TV, Video games, VFX
• Production experience in related entertainment industry: video games, film, TV, theater
• Can work under the pressures of 'live' production environments
• Set construction, or set carpentry experience
• Experience Creating high-quality body animation for use in-game
