Position Title: Associate Quality Designer

External Description:

 

As an Associate Quality Designer - Gameplay, you will oversee quality processes and establish best practices for testing and assessing for Gameplay teams, working closely with other Quality Designers and our leadership team.

You will report to the QA Development Director and partner with members of the Gameplay team. Your responsibilities include assessing and communicating the quality of Gameplay features and content.

As someone who plays a wide variety of games you will enhance the Player Experience by upholding quality testing standards, and providing data-driven feedback to the gameplay team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build working relationships with members of the development, production and design team to help us promote a higher quality player experience through tasks such as feature planning, analyzing internal and player data, and feature/design reviews.
  • You will have the opportunity to mentor local and remote testers, to help resolve complex problems and grow their capabilities as testers.
  • Research and maintain awareness of game industry trends with a focus on titles competitive to the projects you join.
  • Collaborate with SDETs and Data Analysts to enhance testing and analysis capabilities through Automation, Assisted Testing, Data Analysis and Reporting.
  • Drive quality assessments for the game areas you work on, communicating where quality does not meet expectations.
  • Contribute to and enhance quality assessments within Gameplay, sharing within the BioWare QA teams.

 

Qualifications

  • Passion for quality and game design.
  • Knowledge of testing and test planning tools and workflows.
  • 2+ years of game industry or other equivalent industry experience.
  • Game Design experience or education an asset.
