Associate Data Scientist - Cheat Detection Intern
EA’s Capital Games studio has an exciting internship opportunity for an Associate Data Scientist - Cheat Detection to join our analytics team! In this role, you will work directly on Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes with a focus on anomaly detection. You will be responsible for deriving sustainable models that surface outliers across various game modes, gathering data on and analyzing results, presenting findings, and advocating for fair gameplay.
- Analyze large amounts of complex game data for outliers and patterned behaviors with a goal of identifying cheaters
- Construct mathematical or machine learning models
- Construct clear visualizations and dashboards
- Build custom data sets to improve model performance
- Proactively communicate and present findings to key stakeholders, which may include technical and non-technical audiences
- Actively enrolled in a Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college/university
- We are only considering students who are slated to graduate in fall of 2022 or spring of 2023
- You must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Experience utilizing statistics, mathematics, or machine learning to analyze large amounts of complex, multidimensional data
- Experience validating model results
- Comfortable writing SQL to extract data from large data sources
- Passionate about video games!
