The DICE Platform team are here to provide the foundation for our game teams. DICE on a mission to create the most immersive and engaging experiences in the world, and the Platform team is here to unlock the creative power of our game developers on that mission.

Responsibilities

As a Release Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering reliable technology for DICE game teams. You will be responsible of understanding the needs, break down problems and find pragmatic solutions. Manage Perforce copy-up and merge down across multiple code streams. Respond to issues within the Frostbite production environment by working across teams and gathering data to help troubleshoot issues. You will collaborate across domain teams and assist QA on releases/updates. You will help establish new policies, improving process and culture to reach better quality. Implement tools to help improve the efficiency of how software is developed and tested while elevating the product quality. You will report into a Craft Manager.

Requirements

  • Previous experiences in Release Engineer discipline or multiple Engineering disciplines in software development cycle
  • Generalist with 2+ years of professional experience in C++
  • Experience with Visual Studio and the C++ compiler and linker
  • Debugging experience
  • Experience with Shell scripting
  • Production experience with game engines
  • Experience with C# or Python
  • Experience with Perforce or similar
  • Experience with CI build systems and build automation
