The Challenge Ahead

This is an important leadership role in the Quality Engineering organization and offers the opportunity to lead the development of a portfolio of project and studio-wide tools. Our tools are intended to allow our game team partners to focus their efforts on providing the highest quality game titles to our consumers by allowing them to focus on features and fun.

As a Quality Engineering Development Director (DD), you will partner with the team Technical Director who creates the high-level roadmap and strategy for our team, which is based on collaboration with our development and quality verification partners to understand the challenges of developing our complex game titles to be of the quality level and fun that our consumers expect.

You will report to the Quality Engineering Studio Development Director, who manages the Quality Engineering organization that supports all Orlando-based EA SPORTS titles.

Responsibilities:

  • You will direct a team of engineers to provide the solutions identified from the roadmap created by the Technical Director
  • You will be the Scrum Master with additional product owner responsibilities
  • You will lead the development process and help it evolve
  • You will understand our partner timelines and create release targets
  • You will work with our partners to communicate our plans and development progress
  • You will work with our partners to help capture their needs and support the Quality Engineering strategy
  • You will mentor the engineering staff toward achieving their project, team and career goals
  • You will maintain a strong performing and cohesive team that has engineers in Orlando, FL and Madrid, Spain
  • You will foster strong relationships with our partners
  • You will have fun!
