Empowering players to create is an exciting future for the gaming industry.  At Electronic Arts we have many examples of players creating content, whether it be a skateboard park in Skate or fantastical mansions in the Sims 4. The future definitely has our players being more empowered to create with their imagination being the only limit.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help shape the technology that powers our players’ capability to search the content they create. If you have experience with NLP and search engines we want to hear from you!

You will work with an experienced team that has collectively built and worked on games and backend services for more than two decades. You will collaboratively help solve problems within the user generated content space, providing creative and sustainable solutions.

As a Senior Data Scientist you will

  • Work in partnership with game teams to design shared services
  • Design, develop and implement cloud-based AI and machine learning production pipelines
  • Ensure AI and machine learning production pipelines are scalable, repeatable, cloud agnostic and secure
  • Apply current and emerging techniques in deep learning, natural language processing and other machine learning areas
  • Collect, clean, manage, analyze and visualize large sets of data using multiple data platforms, tools and techniques

 Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data science
  • PhD or MSc in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related a field
  • Strong expertise in deep learning, in particular NLP (in the context of ElasticSearch) and image recognition
  • Expertise in automating machine learning models and building end to end products
  • Experience with source code management (Perforce, Git)
  • Effective within public Cloud environments (GCP, AWS)
  • Understanding of containers, orchestrators and service mesh technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
