Position Title: Game Design Director

Become a foundational part of a motivated, respectful, and diverse team as we are looking for a Lead Designer, Narrative Systems.

Reporting to the VP of Creative, you will advocate for the procedural narrative systems, expressive game design and the relationships, dialogue and presentations of the characters.

You will help players to discover and remember amazing moments of intense drama between characters and intense moments of drama and action.

Responsibilities:

  • You will build a team tasked with creating and polishing the procedural narrative experience.
  • You will contribute to all areas of the procedural narrative including story and character ideation, documentation, in game content, and dialogue with a focus on creating memorable and emotional moments for the player.
  • While working with the Engineering Tools team to develop the pipeline and processes to integrate the procedural narrative systems and content into the game.
  • Work with the Audio and Cinematics teams on the evaluation and integration of tools around procedural dialogue, presentations, narrative and performance.
  • Work with the UX team on the presentation of narrative choices and consequences to the player in a way that engages them in the story.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Shipped at least one successful AAA title as a Senior Narrative Designer.
  • Shipped a successful title with an emphasis on procedural narrative.
  • Desired: Experience with high profile and beloved IP.
  • Experience with modern AAA games and their narrative mechanics.
