We are looking for an Experienced Level Designer to join our team working on Battlefield, where you will report to the Lead Level Designer.

What you will do:

  • Manage the layout, flow, pacing and overall player experience of your level.
  • Blockout and refine the playable spaces using our internal level editor.
  • Champion the player experience as you collaborate with artists to create outstanding levels and experiences.
  • Create Design Rationale Documents where you explain your design decisions with sound arguments.
  • Analyze player behavior by using telemetry and other types of data to improve your level.
  • Participate in playtests and peer-reviews where you will provide feedback to your fellow designers, just like they will provide feedback on your work.
  • Play an active role within the internal level design community.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a level designer.
  • At least one shipped game as a level designer. Preferably on a AAA shooter or action game.
  • Interest in growing into a leadership role.
  • Great knowledge of level design fundamentals and the impact that level design has on the player experience.
  • Structured and rational approach to the creative process.
  • Solid technical understanding.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
