We are looking for an experienced Development Manager who is passionate about both process and gaming to join our team.

Reporting to the QA Product Owner, you will directly manage our Maps, VFX, and Lighting Quality Assurance pods. The Development Manager will ensure the team continues to successfully ship content at a high quality bar, and driving the evolution of this group to accommodate future expectations.

What skills do we look for?

You have 3+ years of managerial experience working with a mix of local, off-site/remote, and external teams. You have a robust understanding of testing methodologies, including tools and processes of high-functioning Quality Assurance teams. You have a demonstrated knowledge of software development processes, change management, and process improvement. Ideally you have a specific background in AAA game development, with a focus on Maps, VFX, and Lighting.

We believe that you have experience working with (or equivalent):

• Defining, implementing, and evolving metrics, reporting mechanisms, and communication of processes and knowledge to internal and external teams.
• Playing an important role in evolving a QA or development team, with a focus on expanding team capabilities and responsibilities.
• Improving the effectiveness of a QA effort by assessing current practices and incorporating new strategies, including further use of technology, automation, and development of new test tools.
• Formulating strong relationships across QA and development teams, vendors, and other essential partners.
• Clearly communicating risks, concerns, and successes to partners.
• Developing team members through the use of constructive feedback, to guide their career development and progression.
• Collaborating and helping create an overall Quality Plan, including defining a project budget, forecasting a staff plan, and communicating the plan and an overall test strategy.
