As a Senior World Artist, you will work directly with your generalist counterpart to bring outstanding FPS maps to mobile devices using UE4. You will report directly to the Map Art Lead. You have 5+ years in the industry.
You will Create and edit realistic 3D environments in UE4
You will Create a variety of models (structures, terrain, props) from photo reference and concept.
Partner with our design team to support encounter pathing, cover layouts, and gameplay goals.
Interpret and transform designer block-mesh into art-focused environments.
Gather and present reference to peers and leads.
Provide artistic and technical guidance to internal artists.
Create PBR texture stacks and create material instances to build interesting surfaces.
Manage performance by reducing draw calls, material complexity, and memory usage.
Create realistic terrain data.
Work with Destruction artists to implement interactive objects within a map.
≥2 shipped titles using Unreal Editor/Engine.
Solo and collaborative skills related to solving performance problems on mobile devices.
Expert knowledge of Maya or similar 3D modeling software.
Sense of scene and shape composition.
Experience with how to organize maps to run on multiple device tiers.
Experience with how environments affect gameplay.
Eye to create opportunities for interesting lighting, color and detail.
Expert knowledge of PBR workflows.
Passion for pushing asset fidelity.
Understanding of Live Service content cycles.
